Knockbain House - Location

From Inverness take A9 over Kessock Bridge to 1st roundabout (6 miles) then A835 to next roundabout (5 miles), then A 862 to Dingwall. Turn left at main traffic lights,  A834 past police station on right, then, after 100 metres  and take 1st left (Blackwells Street) where main road bends right and continue up narrow road through houses to start of farm road. Carry on up hill for ¼ mile to gateway and cattle grid signed Knockbain House, cross grid up driveway.

From North, follow signs to Dingwall and turn right at traffic lights after Tesco A 834, continue as above.

From West, take A 834 from Strathpeffer to Dingwall. After level crossing, continue past Cockburns butcher on right and get in right lane to turn next right up Blackwells Street and continue as above.

GPS users   Sat nav tends to try to take you to the farm buildings. Make sure you spot the   Knockbain House sign half way up the hill and go over the cattle grid and up the front drive.
